The night before their big day I headed up to Athabasca to meet up with Lyndsey for a brief tour around the farm where the magic was happening. The yard had transformed over night, the final touches were complete and the day was an absolute success. This western wedding was gorgeous. Thank you so much to you both for having me there, it was a wedding I will never forget.

Although I had to fight with the wind and fight to keep my laughter in so I could take some photos, these three girls kept me entertained from the moment I met them, right up until I left. Tracy is my massage therapist, and since she has made me feel like a million bucks, it was about time I got to do something in return. as I've been strolling through my wedding edits...I stumbled upon my dad. First and foremost, its not a regular occurrence that he is dressed up...and where ever he found these sweet shades...it finished off the "cool" look he had going on. Oh dad. Can't help but to love him.

After limo delays, church delays, Shealene and Chris kept their composure and had a fun filled day. Bre and I hung out with the girls as they got their hair done at Mousy Browns Salon, at the church, and following all the formals, everyone relaxed their nerves out in Legal. Thanks for having us there to share your special day, we had an awesome time!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon awhile back when she googled some local photographers, and 'luckily' stumbled upon me. After many emails, we finally met up to discuss the big day. I get sidetracked quite easily - especially when it comes to old houses. On Sunday Ali and I went location scouting for her wedding, and of course, where did we end up...at an old house - actually, the house that her mom grew up in! Outside of course has always caught my attention for a background, but as usual, I get lured inside where the good stuff resides.

Oh New York. Jess, Mom and myself hit up the chaotic city for September long weekend. I could write a novel on those four days, but I will let you get the feel of the city yourself. I could only pick a few - which turned out to be almost 50 photos - to put up here, like most of my excursions, I like too many.

So I'm back. I am alive...and I am still in my basement catching up!

It has been a long while since I've posted, so as I slowly trudge through my edits, more shoots, work and occasionally sleeping, I will put little by little up for all to see.

This summer has been a crazy busy one, but thanks to my wicked clientele who keep me busy, I couldn't do this without you. Stay tuned for more weddings, weekends, family and more....and....my latest trip to NYC. Yes, I snuck away...

this is a little sneak peak for Magnus and Courtney - so I will write a quick little something before I post some more in the days to come. Bre and I once again had an adventure with sweltering hot sunshine, fields - this time sunflowers, dirty feet and itchy legs, but at the end of the day, a whole bunch of awesome photos. you'll notice I took advantage of the beaming sunlight and grabbed a couple of my faves (so far) to show the two travel bugs who are journeying across Canada as we speak - enjoying the sunshine I hope :)

The day started out at my house where all the girls prettied up with the help of my sisters Jess and Britt doing hair and make-up. It was a sweltering hot day, but I was so fortunate to know the entire bridal party before hand that photographing all of them was super easy. Not only did I have a super good looking group of people who were so cooperative, crafty and crazy, we had a wicked location. Upon our arrival to the grain terminals, a train engine's were pulling up to hook up to the rest of the train. Might I add, I NEVER see the train here. Waving our arms frantically to draw attention and having a small hope that he just may stop for us we stood there in shock as the engine came to a grinding halt. As the little bell rung, the driver popped his head out the side window asking if we would like to use the train for a prop. I am not sure if the day could have been more exciting or more perfect...we got to use a running train while the operators sat aboard and waited patiently, gave the bridal party cleaning towels to get the grease off their hands, and provided most definitely the most memorable wedding yet. Thank you to all who made this day soooo enjoyable!!

Not too long ago I had the chance to photograph Ashu's sister Jodi and her husband Shawn who celebrated their first year of marriage. A few weeks later, I was graciously welcomed back to another first year anniversary party, this time celebrating with Ashu and her husband Garry. If I could explain in great detail of beautiful the location (you may gather how gorgeous by the photos - at least I hope), the details (candy bowls, invitations,etc), food, the colors and of course the great people I got to photograph, this entry may be very long! Thank you so much to the both of you for having me back!

oh and yes, the insanely huge fish tank in the basement....

I'm not entirely sure where I should start, it was an amazing HOT day and a great story leading up to the day. I wasn't initially Ashley's photographer, but I did shoot their engagement photos last summer. Two weeks before the wedding, she made a quick decision that I must be her photographer. All arrangements were made in about ten minutes in my front porch - the day was free, and so it was, I was documenting the day. I had Brena, my extremely talented colleague with me for the day, so every angle was captured. It was beautiful from start to finish and I want to thank Joel, Ashley, the bridal party (including the model in the making flower girl who I couldn't seem to shoot from a mile away to get a candid of her..as she told me "I know where you are at all times and I can hear the click...."hmm) and your families for making not only your day a great one, but also ours!!!

I may have to say I have had the chance lately to witness some serious talent, this shoot definitely had a lot of that. I could photograph old cars all day, so much history, so intriguing, so unique, so beautiful. I had the chance to meet the masterminds behind restoring such masterpieces as you see below, as well as creating from the ground up (the chopper) with an idea and much talent. Phil and Don, you two are absolutely phenomenal artists, thank you for having me photograph your work.

Back in June Jess and I got to spend a few hours with the newlyweds Mark and Christine. They were back in town for their reception after their wedding in Jamaica. Since all the family couldn't be down there to share their special day, they arranged for another shoot to do so. After all the family pictures were complete, we snuck these two away for a quick shoot...just in time for the rain to come down. Thanks again Mark and Christine, I had a lot of fun with you and your entire bridal party and family!

I had the pleasure of photographing Jodie and Shaun's first year wedding anniversary last week. Seeing as this was my very first event at an Indian ceremony I was quite nervous - but as I figured, the family was super welcoming and I had a wonderful evening with them all. Thanks Ashu for letting me document their beautiful celebration.
