on the road..again

i'm not entirely sure I can do any road trip without a photo shoot at some point, so before we left on our journey to Bonnyville for the weekend, Jesse and Mandy got all dulled up, found some old buildings in a farmers field and spent a good amount of time playing around.

The next three entries are from our weekend....enjoy!

as our eventful weekend carried on, we managed to be entertained by the local fair and rodeo that was being held in town.  We decided to take part in the festivities, purchased some cotton candy, strolled around, got a sunburn and watched some cowboys do their thing!

after searching Bonnyville for hard ice cream and ending up with a slush and ice cream, we stopped in the quaint little town of Vilna for a scoop.  While the girls retrieved our very large and very filling cones, I walked around town with the fish eye and snapped some photos.

It has been three years since we graduated from Western and a long three years of Ben, my fellow colleague and friend, NOT hanging out. So, for the first time, after much anticipation, he finally headed to the land of craze - my farm. Although it was freezing cold, we still managed to go take the quad for a tour, as well as a journey with my family around the countryside in search of old abandoned homes to photograph. I'm sure in time Ben will post his amazing photography of our two days - so I would suggest taking a peek at his work found here.
